Ooh La La! It’s time again for you girls to hit the town… historic Downtown Hillsborough that is… for Ladies’ Night Out.
On Thursday, November 19th from 6 to 9 pm, Downtown Historic Hillsborough will light up with specials and giveaways to kick off the holiday shopping season. As you enter the historic district, begin by stopping at one of our 4 greeting stations. You will be greeted by our local dignitaries who will have a special “feathery” gift for the first 300 ladies and the menu of events and specials for the evening. Shops will have Holiday Wish Lists to make sure the “Santa” in your life gets you what you really want this year. Lantern luminaries will mark participating businesses. Mayor Tom Stevens will be strolling the streets of Historic downtown Hillsborough to welcome you; additionally we will have musicians playing, to ensure this a festive, fun evening.
Each purchase you make at participating businesses on ladies’ night enters you one chance to win fabulous prizes from our local businesses as well as the grand prize “UNC Basketball Package” donated by the Chapel Hill / Orange County Visitors Bureau. During this evening, 5% of each purchase made at participating Ladies’ Night Out businesses will go to fund Hillsborough’s Neighbor House. Neighbor House is a faith based public charity that addresses the needs of the homeless population in Northern Orange County by working with congregations, local governments, and other social organizations. Neighbor House also helps supplement the diets of low income citizens in northern Orange County through their “Food for All” program. This program provides nutritious meals four days a week through a mobile meals ministry at no cost to recipients. Additional donations can be made at donations boxes placed throughout downtown during Ladies’ Night Out.
